Land of conquest since the beginning of its history, preserve in fact strong Latin influences, Romans and Venetian, especially in the coastal regions and mitteleuropee, mainly in the intern cities, representing in this way a crossroad of civilization from the Mediterranean to Continental Europe.

From Colmo (Hum), in the Guiness of the records as the smallest city of the world, with about ten houses, up to Zagabria (Zagreb), the metropolis with a million inhabitants, the offer of the Croatia is huge.

Zagabria
is the capital of Croatia from 1991, when the fragmentation of ex-Yugoslavia is verified. It host a quarter of the population and it is the greatest cultural, economic, industrial and commercial centre of the Country.  Founded as Episcopal seat upon a Roman castrum by Ladislao of Hungary (XI century), it is characterized by  valuable buildings of the classical mitteleuropa architecture. Full of museums, galleries of art, theatres and sacred buildings it has a frantic rhythm of life: the nucleus of the old city includes a large number of coffees, beer house and club, and the roads, the squares and the shops are full of people, as also the markets and the fairs.

Of exceptional beauty and importance it is Ragusa (Dubrovnik), world beauty of the architecture and patrimony of the UNESCO. Situated among a turquoise sea and a luxuriant Mediterranean vegetation, with its splendid ancient monuments and the famous walls, large more than 6 meters, it is a destination to not lose.

However there are also other cities patrimony of the UNESCO: Trał (Trogir), a delicious preserved ancient nucleus of evident Venetian imprint, and the ancient one Spalato (Split), magic city from the Roman, Venetian and Byzantine influences developed around the Building of Diocleziano, one of the vast and better preserved among those left by the Romans.

Spectacular for the position also many other coastal cities: Zara (Zadar), natural entrance of over 300 between islands and islets, custodian of one of the more important example of Byzantine architecture in Dalmazia; Sebenico (Sibenik), Dalmatian city of medieval origins whose historical centre assumed the actual aspect, with the prestigious buildings, the three big fortresses and the bastions, during the about four centuries of Venetian domination, also centre of some of the most important examples of Renaissance architecture in Croazia.

Still not to lose, the delicious island towns of Lesina (Hvar), Curzola (Korcula), Arbe (Rab). all medieval centres of rare beauty.

Also to be considered are  the magic and pleasant atmospheres of the cities and the villages of Istria and Quarnero: Pola (Pula), that according to the legend was founded by Giasone in escape with the gold fleece. Seat of the big Roman amphitheatre contemporary of the Coliseum in Rome; the delicious Rovigno (Rovinj), the romantic Parenzo (Porec) and the elegant Abbazia (Opatija) are only some of the favourite tourist destinations.
And for the connoisseurs, looking for unknown destinations… here the ancient fortified citadels of Grisignana (Groznjan), "the artists' city", Pinguente (Buzet), Rozzo (Roc) and Montona (Motovun), along the Path of the Glagoliti.

A heterogeneous and complete offer, that it will surprise also the most distracted tourist.
