Itinerari

The REPUBLIC OF SERBIA AND MONTENEGRO, which preserves a great natural and artistic patrimony, is composed by two young nations still little known in the tourist point of view.

Emotions at 360° !

  • SERBIA: is situated in the heart of the ex-Yugoslavia and hides
unexpected treasures: million fascinating ancient monasteries  entirely recovered with beautiful frescos with a mystic and serene atmosphere; majestic fortresses along the Danube or positioned in order to protect valleys of the Balkan area; borderless sceneries with thousand tonalities of color; lively and modern cities or small villages where the time has stopped move on; a cuisine that reassumes the history of this interesting but tormented country…

  • MONTENEGRO: partially facing the Adriatic ocean and with Albania as one of its neighbor countries, it is considered one of the most interesting regions of the ex-Yugoslavia, thanks to its extraordinary natural, cultural and artistic beauties.

A travel in these lands, among fortified monasteries, imposing fortresses, ancient cities and spectacular sceneries, accompanied by an excellent and genuine cuisine based on local products, forms even for the most exigent tourist, a gratifying and unforgettable experience.

JEWELS OF SERBIA

  • ORTHODOX MONASTERIES: places of intense and profound spirituality, they are of great artistic interest because they represent the short but brilliant period of Serbian religious art of the Middle Ages, from the XII to the XIV century. Often situated in isolated locations, encircled by spectacular sceneries, they represent little known testimonies - therefore even more amazing - which are unknown to the great mass tourism and are therefore faithful custodians of the most authentic and genuine mysticism and religion. In their insides they expose marvelous frescos, icons and relics of Saints and leaders. There are two regions of major concentration: Fruška Gora, situated in the green area of exterminated Pannonia between Novi Sad and Beograd, and the spectacular Monasteries of the South, on the line that connected Belgrade and Sofia, in Bulgaria, and Skopje, in Macedonia.

  • CITIES: the capital is Beograd, a modern metropolis with ancient origins, founded on the confluence of the river Sava with the Danube, with a typical north-European atmosphere; the ancient centre (Stari Grad) is dominated by the imposing citadel of Kalemegdan, fortress since the Celtic times. Another important city is Novi Sad, also situated on the Danube, a hospitable and modern university centre with Hungarian imprints, which is protected by the citadel of Petrovaradin (XVIII century), a majestic fortress. From the walls of the fortress it is possible to enjoy a splendid panorama of the river and the surrounding countryside.

JEWELS OF MONTENEGRO

  • INLETS OF KOTOR: it is considered the most spectacular gulf of Europe, as well as one of the best natural harbors in the world. This fiord of an incomparable beauty is enriched by the presence of heritages and villages, which carry profound imprints of the Venetian civilization. The little ancient town of Kotor, heart of the inlet, is also famous for being the cradle of the famous Saint Leopold Mandić, one of the biggest forerunners and apostles of the ecumenism. From Kotor starts a street that, crossing fantastic beautiful sceneries, brings to Cetinje, the ancient capital, rich of historical monuments with a great charm and beauty.

  • BUDVA: charming medieval town with Greek origins, it is the most beautiful sea resort of the region: the wonderful beaches which hem the coastline of Montenegro together with the marvelous background of mountain peaks, form an amazing beautiful scenery; the old part of the city seems to come out of a fairy tale with its museum, the three churches and the fortress - from which you can enjoy a marvelous panorama - positioned around a grandiose square. Only a few hundred meters to the north of the city you can find the Mogren Beach, a proper paradise for all those who love the sea.

  • NATURAL BEAUTIES: spectacular is the National Park of Durmitor, with its impressive over a thousand meters depth canyon, dug by the river Tara, and its length of 100 kilometers. Here the lovers of rafting will try high leveled  emotions; for the less reckless ones, the 18 mountain lakes of the park create a perfect background for hikes, with the possibility of a regenerating bath in one of the crystalline lakes.

  • MONASTERY OF OSTROG: for all those who are attracted by mysticism and exoteric, this impressive monastery carved in the rocks close to Nikšić is a location which they can not lose; founded in the XVII century, it was already a meeting point of three different religions (orthodox, catholic and Islamic religion), and it is since three centuries the most noted pilgrimage destination of the Balkan area.
